Thru the looking glass.

Of late there have been lots of presents arriving in from Australia...

...for Felix's 3rd birthday.

And one prezzie from Lyla had a great looking glass with lots of fun 3D pictures to look at...

It was a big hit with Felix...

And Daddy...

And Mummy (but not so interesting for Astrid just yet)...

And Nanna Carole...

Thanks for the fun K&D&L. xx

Astrid and the Horse Show.

The Paris Horse Show is on at the moment so on Friday 'the girls' set off for a day with the horses.

And not just any horses, but the most beautiful horses in the world.

The main event of the day was the judging of the Arab Horse Championships.

And being horsey fans, both Carole and Mummy were in absolute heaven ...

Whilst little Astrid seemed quite content just having a lunchtime snooze!

Little did she know what she was missing out on!

But she seemed content enough snoozing with some cuddles thrown in.

No doubt there will be another trip to the show with young Felix in tow!

More Presents.

Monday night Daddy arrived home armed with a rather large birthday present for Felix.

Felix was terribly excited to find a very special 'Oui Oui' (Noddy) box...

... with a very special scooter inside.

Felix seemed suitably chuffed by the gift from Mummy and Daddy, espcially when Daddy explained he went to 'Oui Oui's' house to collect the present.

Astrid however, had passed out on her Nanna's shoulder after all the excitement from the past few days.

And then there was time for one last Birthday cake (Yes, the third can you believe it?)

Once again with his favourite strawberries (and chocolate of course!).

There was no holding back Felix from munching on those strawberries ... yum scrum!

Guess that is the baking done for another year!

Felix turns Three!

Today Felix celebrated his 3rd Birthday (hard to believe so much time has passed since he was born).

Mummy baked a Birthday Cake for school and afterwards Felix came home for a yummy lunch with Mummy and Nanny Carol ...

... and of course some presents.

With a somewhat Thomas the Tank Engine theme.

There were some lovely Birthday phone calls ... although Felix was more interested in reading his new books rather than chatting on the phone!

He received some very cute birthday cards too!

And a some what strange book from Aunty Kim & Uncle Barrie about a Mole with Poo on its head*, and I don't mean Pooh Bear!

(*Nevertheless a best seller in Australia)

Felix's 3rd Birthday Party.

It was Felix's 3rd Birthday party today...

...and despite the rain it was a big success!

Each time the door bell rang, Felix would race to the door, say hello, take the present and race into the lounge room to open it!

We had plenty of Champagne for the Mummies and the Daddies (and some milk for the youngest family member!)...

And lots of sweeties and goodies for the little-uns!

And of course there were special visitors, like Felix's Nanna Carol, who had flown in from Sydney the day before to share in all the excitement.

Everyone played Pass the Parcel...

(Which as you can imagine was a crowd pleaser)
.

And luckily everyone managed to get a present this year (phew!).

And of course the birthday boy just couldn't contain his excitement (note the blond at the bottom of the circle).

And there seemed to be smiles all around!

Then of course it was time for the birthday cake ...

Felix wanted strawberries on top of the cake this year ... so strawberries it was!

I think it went down pretty well, if his face is anything to go by!

There was a nice happy vibe in the apartment after the party or was that all the delicious french champagne Daddy?

Astrid appeared to concur!

Happy 3rd Birthday Felix!
