Over the past few weeks young Felix has developed a favourite new past-time ...
... Leaf Stomping!
And so this afternoon we had a little walk around our quartier (neighbourhood) to stomp through the piles of autumn leaves.
Luckily there is a big promenade right near where we live which is just perfect for such an activity.
And after all the wind we have had over the past few days ...
... there were leaves in abundance - to Felix's immense joy!
Even Daddy was in on the action!
Sure beats an afternoon indoors with two little-uns!

Watch out Stevie!

Watch out Mr Stevie Wonder ... here comes Felix ...
... who has recently expanded his toy collection by discovering the torch.
Hours of fun!
Both day and night!

Up, up and away!

After a fabulous 6 week stay in Paris it was time to bid our farewells to Nanny and Pappie last night as they set off back to sunny Mooloolah Valley. Everyone felt a bit sad as we had so much fun together and I don't think Felix has ever been so spoilt with so many outtings to the park before. Thanks so much for the visit Nanny and Pappie and those wonderful meals, outtings, inings, gouters and happy times. Lots of really fabulous memories for us all! Bisous from us four!

Autumn at George Brassens.

This afternoon Felix, Daddy, Nanny and Pappie set off for George Brassens (Mummy was delayed at home feeding young Astrid).
One of Felix 's favourite things about parc George Brassens is the brass donkey.
But after a sit Felix raced off to check out the lake to see all the duckies.
Daddy spotted some beautiful flowers which make for a great backdrop ...
And one of the best things about Paris at the moment are the beautiful autumn leaves...
And what great fun Felix had rolling down the hill in those crispy golden leaves.
Nanny and Pappie seemed to be mesmerized by the leaves too (or was it young Felix?).
They do make for a great backdrop don't they?

Marionettes.

Sunday afternoon we went to a puppet show called 'Polichinelle'.
Felix was terribly excited as it was the first time we had gone to see the marionettes.
Although when all the lights went off both Felix and Astrid both had a bit of a fright (Astrid more so!).
But we had a great time watching all the puppets ...
And Felix became very animated afterwards.
(Unlike his sister)
No doubt we will be going again sometime.

Mummy Resemblance?

So word on the street is that whilst 99% of the time Astrid looks exactly like her Daddy, there seems to be some thought that she actually looks just like her Mummy in this photo. Phew ... perhaps she is mine after all!

The Siblings.

The other day Mummy put Astrid down on Felix's bed and Felix very quickly hopped onto the bed and laid down beside his little sister.
He is generally pretty gentle with Astrid and likes to stroke her head and falls into fits of giggles when he touches her ears.
"Astrid's ears are so little."
He also gives her very tender kisses on her head ...
Having said that he does have his moments where it all gets a bit much and he gets a bit 'over' that little person who is stealing Mummy and Daddy's attention.
But Astrid doesn't seem to mind!

Story-time with Nanny.

Felix has been terribly spoilt of late and has been able to choose who he has his bedtime story with. Tonight he choose Nanny. And if you look very closely you can see Astrid listening too. Well you can see her arms, legs & tummy anyway.

Pussycats & Monsters.

We celebrated Mummy's birthday and halloween today. Isabella & Raffy came over to play with some dress-ups and to enjoy some cake and champagne (champagne for the Mummies that is). Only thing is the little ones seemed to turn into Monsters and cause havoc for the rest of the afternoon. Aaargh...

Nanny's Birthday.
This year not only are we lucky enough to celebrate THREE October birthdays (Astrid, Mummy and Nanny)...
But we also have Nanny in Paris for her actual birthday.
Her first birthday with her grandson Felix and granddaughter Astrid.
We had a delicious birthday feast that night to celebrate although both the grandchildren slept through it (luckily for us).
Punch drunk!

Mummy & the kids.

Sunday afternoon ... phew ... weekends are certainly more busy than they used to be. Astrid has the right idea ... sleep!
If only the rest of us were so sensible!

Bathtime chez nous.

Today was bath day chez nous for little Astrid ...
And Felix was ever-so-keen to help Daddy ...
And after the initial shock of 'clothes off' Astrid seemed to quite enjoy her bath.
Little poppet!

Changing time for Astrid!

Mummy and Daddy are slowly getting their heads around changing nappies again ... although luckily Felix gave us a few months off!
The only thing is the cheeky Astrid thinks it is funny to do a 'pee pee' every time we take off the nappy.
And don't be fooled into thinking it is only little boys that can cause havoc!
