Our Christmas.

Today after Nanna Carol, Bon Papa and Uncle Jonno arrived it was time for more presents.

Felix could hardly contain his excitement and insisted on opening most presents - whether they were for him or not!

Astrid didn't mind as she was having some lovely cuddles with Bon Papa or rather a lovely snooze with Bon Papa!!

Everyone did terribly well and enjoyed their presents.

Both Bon Papa and Felix quite enjoyed having a little read amid the festivities!

And Felix even refused to open any more presents until he had read his book from Nanny and Pappie!

Afterwards we had a lovely seafood lunch ... and of course more Champagne!

What a feast!

And to top off the meal the Christmas Bûche or as Felix called it, the birthday cake for baby Jesus!

Needles to say from this photo Felix discovered the marzipan fruits...

And Astrid had a lovely cuddle with her Uncle Jonno.

Yes what a delicious Christmas meal we had!

And in fact what a lovely Christmas we had.

Thanks for sharing it with us Nanna Carol, Bon Papa and Uncle Jonno!!

The Presents.

Felix woke up at the very civilised hour of 8am this morning to discover that Santa had been during the night (apparently Felix heard the reindeers!).

Felix was quite overwhelmed by the tree and propmtly started unwrapping his presents.

Trucks, trains, Thomas slippers!

And these were only the presents from Santa...

More presents to come from Nanna Carol, Bon Papa, Uncle Jonno once they arrived for another feast!

Xmas Eve

Christmas eve we sat down to some nice champagne and some special nibblies so Felix stayed up extra late.

His preferred meal was a honey sandwich rather than the delicious Foie Gras, Magret de Canard and other yummy things on offer (?!#!?#?!).

About 9ish Felix toddled off to bed allowing us to take turns of holding Astrid whilst we had our decadent Xmas Eve dinner.

Poor little pet was sill quite unwell so enjoyed having some nice cuddles before bed (whilst eying off the Moët).

Later we all drifted off to sleep knowing all the excitement the following day would bring after Santa's visit.

Happy Christmas!

Photo of the moment!

This is Mummy's fave photo of Felix and Astrid taken on Christmas Eve eve. Just having a nice quiet afternoon at home whilst Daddy is out doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Hope everyone is preparing for a yummy Christmas!

Bon Papa arrived safely in Paris today after a somewhat delayed arrival due to the airport strikes in Paris and Nice (poor thing had to drive rather than fly in the end!).

Bon Papa came with a very special present for Felix's birthday ... a very special tunisian red hat!

And of course both the boys took turns wearing it!

Don't they look dashing!

Funny expressions.

Mummy has been taking some snaps of young Astrid and couldn't decide which photos to put up ... so here are a selection.

(no more photos Mummy!)

Oh she is just too sweet, isn't she!

Vacances de Noël.

Today Felix had his last day of school and he is now on Christmas holidays (like Daddy).

So we popped into the bakery on the way home to celebrate with a Pain au Chocolat.

Not to mention to look at the Christmas window and to see Santa and the Christmas display!

The Lillies.

Astrid, Mummy, Nanna Carole and Jonso bundled up and set off for an outing today in the chilly Parisian weather.

First stop - a stroll up Rue Rivoli.

We then popped in for a hot chocolate at Angelina's, the best Chocolat Chaud in Paris!

We had a few 'kodak moments' in the Tuilleries ... whilst Nanny experimented with her snazzy new camera.

All whilst a poorly young Miss Astrid snoozed (to Mummy's delight)!

Luckily we were all nicely bundled as it was pretty chilly.

Then we visited the Orangerie and saw the gorgeous Water Lillies by Monet - simply divine!

All in all a fabulous but pretty exhausting day!

Christmas windows.

Today we went to look at the Christmas windows at Galleries Lafayette (although it took some persuading as Felix was more interested in his sandwich).

There were bears in a pâtisserie ...

Some polar bear tourists ...

And some little french girls who was taking an interest in Felix (and Mummy!).

This was Uncle Jonno's favourite window ... the dancing snow balls!

Afterwards we zipped inside for a quick warm drink to warm up....brrrr.
