It was Felix & Astrid's Daddy's birthday today.
So needless to say there were balloons and birthday celebrations...
And what a beautiful new Paul Smith shirt Daddy! (Now where's your brand new iPhone?)
Happy Birthday Daddy and have a wonderful New Year celebration everyone!!

Birthday Lunch!
We went to lunch today to celebrate Daddy's birthday and to have a kid friendly New Year celebration!
Felix promptly opened Daddy's birthday prezzie (he's very speedy now after all the practise from Christmas).
Isabella made the call of the day when she gave Daddy the present saying it was for the "old man".
Eric's sister Julie was in Paris to share in the celebrations.
And young Raffy was terribly proud to be sitting at the big table (but still nice and close to his Mummy Charlotte).
Luckily for us, young Astrid slept through the whole lunch and woke up just in time for coffees.
At which stage the party was really starting (or rather the fatigue from lack of naps!).
So after some quick cuddles it was time to head home...
And for Mummy and Daddy to drop the kids off with the babysitter and go and see the Arcimboldo exhibition.
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Lions and Koalas.
Aunty Kim and Uncle Barrie sent Felix some masks for Christmas.
So Felix & Mummy had some fun dressing up as lions and koalas.
The lion was particularly dashing.
Although seemed to enjoy throwing himself on the floor...
Ooopss....
Phew, looks like he is okay!

Days off with Daddy.
Today we made the most of Daddy not working and we went to the Luxembourg Gardens so Felix could have a run around.
Bypassing Bappie's favourite statue on the way!
So we all rugged up toasty warm and set off ... armed with a hot coffee of course!
Felix had a great time exploring the tunnels...
Playing on the climbing frames and generally having fun ...
... all whilst Astrid had a snooze (yes this collection of photos is growing in number!).
And how fortuitous that Daddy's coat matches Astrid's Bugaboo perfectly!
Dashing huh!

Sick little munchkin!
After all the excitement of Christmas there is a very sick little girl in the house. Astrid has had a lingering cold for a few weeks and now we suspect some form of bronchitis. Uggg ... not nice when she practically stops breathing amidst her coughing attacks. Poor baby!

The portrait gallery.
Today was Nanna Carol and Uncle Jonno's last day in Paris so they came over for a lovely Duck Salad followed by some special Christmas cheese.
We had such a lovely Christmas together so Mummy wanted to remember the occasion with some final photos or rather family portraits.
Only thing is Mummy couldn't decide which ones to put up ... so here they all are!
Of course there is a similar threme to them all ...
Can you spot it?
Come on, should be pretty obvious ...
That's right the gorgeous Felix and Astrid (actually even Mummy too on this occasion!).
Bon Voyage Nanna Carol and Uncle Jonno and hope you have a great first trip to NYC Carol!

The Christmas Stroll!
After such a huge feast we decided to go for a stroll to walk off some of the meals!
It was pretty chilly so we all rugged up nice and warm.
And Felix and Daddy wore their matching coats!
It was a great stroll and the streets were terribly quiet.
We saw some of the beautiful Christmas lights...
And made the most of those last photo opportunities.
Some were less interested than others!
All in all a great top off to the day!
Astrid seemed to concur!

Matching coats!
For Christmas, Bon Papa gave Felix a coat just like Daddy's.
They were like 'two peas in a pod' or perhaps more apt 'two eskimos in an igloo'.
Mummy's not sure who was more pleased, Daddy or Felix.
